Dig-git Beach Gear is a company founded by my dad, Fred Paolucci, with the goal of preventing umbrella injuries during windy beach days. In 2010, while I was a design student at RISD, I designed the original logo for his patented beach umbrella sand anchor.
Over the following decade, as I became a design educator, I continued to evolve the brand and manage its e-commerce presence by working with my students as design interns. This approach has shaped a scrappy, family-driven identity grounded in both experimentation and care — values true to my dad’s vision.
